In this video the confirmands share their thoughts.
It is encouraging to see how seriously these young Catholics take their Faith. Please pray for them that they persevere in their good resolutions. Many thanks to Emeritus Bishop Basil Meeking who conferred the Sacrament in the Traditional Rite at Our Oratory of Our Mother of Perpetual Succour, Christchurch, New Zealand. We are truly blessed to have such a thriving young chaplaincy here in the South Island.
Many thanks to the devoted mother and daughter who produced this amazing testimony to the power of Faith.

The seminarians of the Fraternity of St Peter who are being tonsured also received their cassock in the same ceremony. Here they kneel around the altar in preparation for Tonsure, while the bishop addresses them.
During Tonsure, the bishop cuts the hair of each candidate in the points of the Cross.

The Film Team have been at it again in Christchurch, New Zealand, where we run the Latin Mass Chaplaincy for the Diocese from our Monastery.
This time they have produced a beautiful interview with Fr Anthony Mary, F.SS.R., the chaplain, to commemorate his 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the sacred priesthood. The video is titled "Anointed".
On 15th August, the feast of Our Lady's Assumption in heaven, Br Seelos Maria, F.SS.R. and Br Peter Mary, F.SS.R. made their perpetual profession of the vows of religion: Poverty, Chastity and Obedience, and joined to it a fourth vow and oath of Perseverance in the Congregation until death, as has been done since the time of St Alphonsus.
Thanks be to God, Br Seelos's parents were able to be with their son on this day, all the way from Kansas, USA.
The Veni Creator Spiritus.
Br Seelos Maria confirms his desire to consecrate himself entirely to God for the rest of his life.
Br Peter Mary does the same.
Kneeling before the Most Blessed Sacrament, the two Brothers pronounce their vows, and with their hand on the Holy Gospel, they call God to be their witness.
By these vows, made before God Himself, Brs Seelos and Peter give themselves entirely to Him.
The Congregation of the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer is now stronger than ever, with two more perpetually professed members. Deo Gratias et Mariae!

We had the privilege of the ceremony being presided by
His Lordship Emeritus Bishop Basil Meeking, of Christchurch.
We have the joy of sharing on video the Holy Mass with some
touching scenes of the joy and celebration which followed. The contrast has
often been made of how dignified and solemn the ceremonies and the children can
be in the Chapel, but this does not prevent them being delightful happy young
souls full of joy and friendship afterwards.
"Mark well that in the Catholic Mass, Abraham is our Patriarch and forefather. Antisemitism is incompatible with the lofty thought which that fact expresses. It is a movement with which we Christians can have nothing to do. No, no, I say to you it is impossible for a Christian to take part in Antisemitism. It is inadmissible. Through Christ and in Christ we are the spiritual progeny of Abraham. Spiritually, we [Christians] are all Semites."
